The story behind BoxSight
I'm Stijn Benjamin, a freelance data specialist and developer. I help companies turn scattered data into one clear picture. BoxSight started as a question from a client in the container trade and, over a few months, grew into a company of its own.
Everyone knows something, nobody sees the whole
Container sales runs on data that comes from everywhere except one system. Production status lists from China, shipping lists from carriers, vessel positions at sea, status updates from depots. Four sources, four formats, four inboxes. The data is there; it is just never in one place at the same time. The real problem is not a lack of data. It is fragmentation.
Built in daily use, not on a roadmap
I built BoxSight together with a European container sales company that used it every day from the start. Instead of assumptions sitting on a roadmap for months, every idea was tested against real work within a week. It was built around the demand, not the other way around: one live map that brings all those sources together, from factory to customer.
Where it goes next
BoxSight is in early access now, and I'm shaping it directly with the companies that use it. I'm also sitting down with data engineers at the largest carriers to bring those integrations closer to the source, because the closer you get, the less is lost along the way. Data fragmentation is not a container problem, though: it shows up in almost any sector where several parties work on the same chain. BoxSight is what comes out when you take that seriously.
